Some of my woodworking projects
In addition to writing and recording music I love working with wood. On this page are some of the projects I have done through the years. Most of my furniture pieces are cherry but I love most hardwoods. You'll see everything from our bedroom furniture to newell posts to bathroom vanities and toys. I recently made a box for my cousin that is shown and in return she has made me hand painted martini glasses...that's cool! I'll definitely post them when they get here.

King Head Board - Made out of a gumwood door we salvaged years ago from our old house when we remodeled and the finished with cherry molding on top.
Finger joint box for cousin Cindy!
Entertainment center for our living room...this was a big project! That's a 65 inch TV just to give you a size idea. 13 feet wide made in 6 pieces.

Built in bookcase in our bedroom - twin on the other end of the wall.
Sold cherry computer cabinet with roll out desk...built for a tower so sort of obsolete now...have to decide how to repurpose it! Was a big project.
Finger joint box I made for Jane. Cherry with birdseye maple rased panel. I stained this cherry darker, usually just oil it.

Entertainment center - testing fit of the sections while still in my workshop.

Entertainment center - building the raised panel doors and more.
Entertainment center for our living room...moved partly finished project into our pool room for more space to add doors, shelves.
Finger joint box I made for me out of poplar and cherry when I was building my finger joint jig.
Cherry night stand. Two of these.
Toy chest I built for my son when he was under 5.
Our house has a bit of a Frank Lloyd Write look in areas so I changed what was just flat cabinets in our basement with some hardwood trim. Looks a lot better. This room is carpeted now.
Custom miter saw table with folding wing extension...wish I had built this 20 years ago...great addition to the shop.
My raised bed this year....just getting tomatoes and peppers now and smartest thing I did was putting doors on the front and back...makes pruning and picking so much easier.
A look at the shop with my new planner cabinet, bandsaw, etc.
Built this work bench before my son was born and he is 25 now. Still going strong.
Unused wood was taking over my shop so I built this wood storage unit...everything in my shop is on wheels now....really makes a difference.
I built this wagon for my son Jack when he was about 3. He's 25 now. It's solid ash and after 22 years still works great!
My little recording studio in my office with my MacBook and Boss 16 track system, monitors in the back. Boss slides out when using it or slides back when not...not something you can buy.
We had this addition put on several years ago. Found out the contractors didn't vent it properly so it rotted away. What I thought was replacing a few boards turned into a rebuild. Ugh..
Custom cabinet I built for my shop planner.
Another newell post for the kitchen when redid that so it would match the cherry cabinets.

A desk, made out of sold ash, for my son. He wanted a desk without drawers that he could slide under more easily with his office chair.

A box I made Jane for Christmas. The box is walnut an the top was made by laminating walnut, maple, cherry and birdseye maple.
